In 1964 Ken returned to his 1962 12” body and the now standard head sculpt with the molded crewcut.  Ken had new markings on his torso:  ©1960/by/Mattel, Inc./Hawthorne/Calif., U.S.A.

The red and white striped beach jacket continued to have a bonded terry cloth facings and the shorts were also the same as the previous year. Ken came with his red vinyl strapped brown cork soled sandals along with the newest fashion booklet in the cello packet along with the standard black wire stand

New for 1964 was KENS buddy #1000 ALLAN (SHERWOOD)

Allan had molded red hair, in a longer style than Kens crew cut. and brown brown eyes. Otherwise he was the same as the now standard 12″ Ken and marked: © 1960/by/Mattel, Inc./Hawthorne/Calif. U.S.A.

He wore a multi-colored striped jacket with bonded on white terry cloth lining and blue shorts. His sandals were brown cork with a blue vinyl strap and came in the cello packet with latest fashion booklet. The black wire stand completed the new Allan box contents.
