This years Ken was ¼ inch shorter than the earlier dolls and his legs fit loosely where they joined the torso. His arms were slightly shorter and fatter, and his kneecaps more pronounced as well as the calves having a bit more muscularity, The torso was now marked Ken ® ©1960/by/Mattel, Inc./Hawthorne/Calif., U.S.A. 

He had the painted crew-cut hair in blond or brunet, Kens clothes had the same fit overall, and he again came dressed in the red shorts and red and white striped jacket although the jacket’s terry lining was bonded on instead of being sewn in as previously. His sandals and fashion booklet of course were included, along with the black wire stand.
