Ken #750 was introduced in 1961. He was 12 inches tall, had flocked crew cut availabe in blond, brunette or brown. (aka”fuzzy headed”), blue eyes, a movable head, arms and wide stanced legs.

He was dressed in bathing trunks and sandals. The trunks were red with a white stripe up the side, and the sandals were brown cork with a red vinyl strap. Later #1’s came with a red and white striped terry cloth lined beach jacket.

The first dolls on the market came boxed with a black wire stand, The later release of #1’dolls ‘s were boxed with a yellow towel and the famous Barbie and Ken fashion booklet.

On his left wrist KEN wore the Mattel wrist tag.

The first box showed ken wearing a never produced black and white stripe bathing suit.
